My Most Memorable Valentine Day 2009!
This year holds the most memorable valentine's day memory for me because ...... kena BURNT under the hot sun!!!
1) We went to celebrate V-day with BrenBren at her school funfair but we didn't grab a glimpse of her at all...... SOBS!!!! We ended up having a mini picnic under the hot sun [ZM kept insisting that it was a shady afternoon!]. We bought pizza, nachos, sardine puffs & drinks with the coupous we bought.
2) We celebrate V-day with our ETHNOSEMMANUEL cluster mates! It was a chill out night where unprofessional singers belt out many wonderful melodies to entertain the others. heehee. The atmosphere was very relaxed and fun & peppered with soooo many lame jokes! Rennie, WangYing & Phoebe really did a wonderful wonderful job in organizing the whole programme. ZM sang 勇气, EJ & me sang 爱和承诺and 梁山伯与茱丽叶.
All in all, I thank God for such a lovely and meaningful V-day where we're not just caught up in emo mo mo love but celebrating a day of love & marvelous friendships!!! Happy FRENSHIP Day Gals!!!!
*Special thanks to cherry who made the yummy mummy cup cakes for us!!!

I just love it
i just LOVE it when i come to the blog and it'd filled with the cell retreat photos. it's like it really impacted all of us. but my bottom line is, let's HAVE MORE. we should have the amazing race part 2! and then more captain ball showdowns. priscilla and i will be ready with cheerleader gear for darling YALI.ahhaaha. it makes me so excited for church every week. *shiver*
anyhow, school has been full of ups and downs, but i really miss church. anyhow, i was wondering.
a few days ago i was writing some rubbish for my chinese. i was elaborating on how we should learn to cope with stress, and somehow it came out as 'we need to understand how to reain peaceful and calm in troubled times..' and then i stopped short.
didn't that mean the sabbath? but this year wasn't really all sabbath-like for me, and it's nearly half gone. hmmm. but now thinking about it, i'm not going to watse it all. and i think i found my sanctuary already.
yup, and i hope it will always stay that way. oh and one more thing. why don't we have our own retro countdown party this year end with everyone from the cell retreat or something? or maybe even more for being merry, just to have a change from the church's one. we can dance to our own hillsong cds (:
stuck in the amazing race,
brenda

I Will Overcome!
We were overjoyed to attend Rev Ed Silvoso’s marketplace conference in Argentina and to receive much revelation from many marketplace ministers who shared their experiences with us. I was also happy to be by Senior Pastor’s side when he practised polo with the Argentine team – and was able to help him when he was seized with a crippling back pain that struck so suddenly on the second last day of his training.
Shortly after rejoicing over his successful travel back to Los Angeles from Argentina without a wheelchair’s aid to join the creative team in re-crafting future Magic of Love shows, satan decided to ‘bully’ me in exactly the way Rev Ed had taught us - using trials and tribulations as a tool to bully believers.
Besides his back pain, Senior Pastor suddenly developed an excruciating left shoulder pain which required my help to dress him. Also, a mini domestic crisis developed on the home-front, requiring my presence and participation to resolve, even though I was needed for a costume and props check in Las Vegas.
Even after arriving back home, satan continued to bring one problem after another in his attempt to discourage me. Yet, I praise God because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world, and I know the outcome of my trials will be to His glory! 1 John 4:4
Pastor Nina Khong
*Cynthia: I was so encouraged by Pastor Nina's post in the church bulletin that I decided to post it here!!!! Read & be enriched!

ASK BIG....IN FAITH!
(Linked from the YouthNet Admin blog. So inspiring! The YouthBuzz is usually written by Ps Julie if i'm not mistaken)
Wonder how many of you still remember the Warrior of Light matrix? Huh??
Personally for us, it's been an exciting Year of Victory thus far. The 3 attitudes, "Always Thankful, Always Victorious in Christ and Always a Blessing to all" have kept us on the winning side of life. Amidst all the busyness in the ministry and serving the community, we did our major house renovation project. It was a venture to "look far in vision" for our family. Seven months in a rented apartment and now, we're ready to go home...hurray!
So, we're taking this chance to remind everyone of the 3rd action goal for this last 4 months of 2007 - Ask Big ... in Faith ! Yes, the Year of Victory is not over yet ... have you experienced breakthrough in your personal life, in your family and in your marketplace? This is the time of preparation for exams and end of year job reviews and appraisals. It is also a time where many of us are starting to plan for 2008. If you feel just a bit out of focus, may we remind you to take out your Warrior of Light Matrix, reflect on all that has happened in your life this year and after you've given thanks, accept God's precious invitation to come to Him and in great faith ... ASK ... SEEK ... KNOCK ( Matthew 7:7-8 )
*Cynthia
